That was the talent of the Romans, they took things they saw and made it work for them. That's how they won the first Punic War and how they ended up getting the gladius which was the Spanish short sword before they used it.

the khopis and falcata are both older designs than the khukri, only by a few centuries mind you, but still. and all are insanely impressive.

how did you get the khukuri style sweep in the blade? do you draw out the metal while its still square or round stock?

It's from square stock and over 20 hrs or so to do it
and the kopis is older then the khukuri

... thank you but please also describe how you made that thin part! im not the most experienced yet and i dont want to put 10 hours into this khukuri im making(which is like 3 weeks of work with my schedual) and then have to scrap the thing cause i did something wrong. i want to get it right the first time cause its going to be a gift to some Napali girls in my school and also... thats a lot of metal :\
